Call for Papers

The 2026 IEEE International Conference on Advanced Motion Control (AMC'26) will be held from from March 9th to 11, 2026, in Daegu, Korea. As a flagship biennial conference on Mechatronics sponsored by the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, AMC'26 will bring the international motion control community together in Daegu to present the latest research results, share new ideas and engineering breakthroughs and discuss the state-of-the-art challenges and future directions in motion control.

The organising committee cordially invites high-quality papers representing original work, including but not limited to the following topics:

  • Adaptive and Intelligent Control Systems
  • Advanced Motion Control in Mechatronics
  • Autonomous Robotic Systems, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Leaning
  • Automotive Control and Transportation Systems
  • Biomechatronics and Bioengineering System
  • Compliant and Soft Robotics
  • Haptics and Human-Robot Interaction
  • Industry Applications, Information Technology and Advanced Manufacturing
  • Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) and Nanotechnologies
  • Network-based Control Systems and Applications
  • Sensors and Actuators in Mechatronics
  • Smart Materials and Structures in Mechatronics
  • Visual Servo Systems, Machine Vision and Image Processing in Mechatronics

Call for Special Sessions

Special Sessions

Special sessions provide the opportunity to focus in detail on emerging topics, which are not reflected in the list of conference main technical tracks or represent a specific working field where researchers would like to meet and discuss advances. Sessions focused on reporting innovations and breakthroughs in highly specialized topic areas (within the conference’s scope) will be organized. These sessions will broaden the knowledge base of attendees, helping them stay updated with recent advances in mechatronics. The AMC2026 organizing committee invites professionals in the areas of mechatronics to propose special sessions (SS)s to be held at AMC2026.

Once approved, the Organizers will publicize the Special Session among researchers and practitioners in the field and attract sufficient number of papers. Papers submitted to special sessions will undergo the same review process as regular papers. The special session organizers of the respective special session are responsible for organizing the review process, assuring at least three reviews per paper. This includes selection of reviewers from their peers.

Conflict of Interest

Before starting the review process, SS organizers must explicitly declare papers which present a conflict of interest for them. A conflict of interest arises where the judgement of a paper quality can be influenced by the organizers being authors or knowing some of the authors. To ensure independent reviews, this conflict must be marked as such in the submission system and the SS Co-Chairs notified so that they can arrange the review process.

Restrictions

During the review process, Special Session Organizers must take into account that:

  • An individual cannot be (co-) author of more than two papers submitted to the same Special Session.

Session Chairs

When a SS is finally accepted by the conference, SS organizers will serve as Session chairs in the conference. In some extenuated circumstance, Technical Program chairs and Conference General Chairs might take up the full control of appointing the Session Chairs, should the SS organizers be unable to participate in the conference.

Proposal Content

The special session’s proposal content should include the following information (as mentioned in the MS word template):

  • Title of the Special Session.
  • Brief description of the area of concern (~100 words), with special emphasis on why this is an interesting and significant topic.
  • Name and contact information of 2 to 3 special session organizers (multi-nationals preferred and multi-institutional mandatory), who are willing to promote and organize a sufficient amount of quality submissions to the special session. Please also indicate the background of the organizers.
  • A list of potential authors and their affiliations.
  • A list of potential reviewers and their affiliations (20 minimum).

Special Sessions Proposal Submisions

Please send your proposal in PDF format to the e-mail address amc2026@googlegroups.com . Special session proposals will be accepted from 1st September, 2025 until 1st October, 2025. We encourage early proposal submission to receive early decisions and a higher number of paper submissions.

Manuscript Submission

Paper Preparation

Prospective authors are invited to electronically submit regular papers of their work in English. Submit the full paper using the following layout. Limitation to 6 full pages, including paper title, authors and affiliations, figures and references (maximum size 2MB). Authors are requested to prepare the manuscripts in the IEEE two-column format template and to translate it in PDF. No other format in the submission and in the final version can be accepted. The IEEE two-column format template can be downloaded from “IEEE’s Manuscrpit Template for Conferences Website.”

Accepted and presented papers will be published in the conference proceedings, and submitted for inclusion in IEEE Xplore on-line digital library. Download IEEE Template Paper Submission

Paper Submission Website

All submissions must be uploaded through “IEEE IES Conferences Community System’s AMC'26 Paper Submission Website” following the schedule given in important dates. Each submission will be reviewed by three independent reviewers using a single blind peer review process, and will be screened for plagiarism and duplicate publication. The accepted papers are to be presented in the conference, and will be hosted on IEEE Xplore, subject to formatting and copyright requirements.

IEEE Industrial Electronics Society’s Conferences Community System Registration

Before submitting your paper, you should register to the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society’s Conferences Community System. If you haven’t already done so, please register using the “IEEE IES Conferences Community System’s Registration Website.”

As part of the registration process you will receive a confirmation email for you to activate your account.

Final Paper Submission

Final paper submissions must be uploaded through “IEEE IES Conferences Community System’s AMC'26 Paper Submission Website” following the schedule given in important dates. Please use the following steps in final paper submission.

  1. Create your manuscript using the IEEE-two column format. The IEEE two-column format template can be downloaded from “IEEE’s Manuscrpit Template for Conferences Website.” Detailed guidelines for creating manuscripts are found here: “Creating Manuscripts for IEEE IES Conferences.”

  2. Proofread and check the layout of the manuscript. Authors are expected to submit only their own original works that is currently not under review somewhere else. The conference will verify the originality of manuscripts by comparing them with millions of other articles in databases worldwide. Manuscripts that violate IEEE’s publication principles may be rejected. If the violation is deemed severe, then disciplinary actions may also be taken by IEEE. Please carefully read the following “IEEE Policy on Plagiarism” and “IEEE Policy on Double Submission.”

  3. Chek your manuscript for IEEEXplore comaptibility using “IEEE PDF eXpress.” (now preparing…)

An Online confirmation will be displayed and an email confirmation will be sent verifying your account setup.

  • Previous users of PDF eXpress need to follow the above steps, but should enter the same password that was used for previous conferences. Verify that your contact information is valid.
  1. Submit final paper via IEEE IES Conferences Community System’s AMC'26 Paper Submission Website.
  2. Sign IEEE Copyright form in the IEEE IES Conferences Community System’s AMC'26 Paper Submission Website.

Presentation of accepted papers at AMC2026

Authors of accepted TIE/TII/TMECH/OJIES/JESTIE papers (regular and short ones) between January 2024 and December 2025 will have the option to present their paper at the AMC2026, if the paper topic is within the conference’s scope. AMC'26 will enable authors to promote and highlight their work to the international mechatronics community on a fast track. At least one author must register for the conference and present the work.

The presented paper will not be published in the AMC2026 Xplore proceedings, since the paper will be published as a TIE/TII/TMECH/OJIES/JESTIE paper. The paper will be included as part of the regular AMC2026 Program. Since the submission system does not automatically accept papers in Journal’s format, we kindly ask you to upload the placeholding pdf that can be obtained here, using the AMC2026 Paper Submission System, under the track “TIE/TII/TMECH/OJIES/JESTIE Paper Presentation,” noted with the given TIE/TII/TMECH/OJIES/JESTIE manuscript number.

Once initial submission is completed, send your full Journal paper to the program chairs via amc2026@googlegroups.com .
